  4. There may be a moment of confusion as products bearing the
  5. LANtastic name suddenly lose that label to take on the corporate Artisoft
  6. name.

  8. In fact, the change is intended to avoid confusion.  The LANtastic
  9. name is now reserved for products directly related to Artisoft's DOS-based
  10. network operating system.

  12. Products that are non-network or network-independent will carry the
  13. Artisoft company designation. Sounding Board and Voice Programmer's
  14. Interface are examples of network, software-independent, Artisoft products. 
  15. Network adapters for any network software such as the new Artisoft AE-3
  16. Ethernet Adapter, will also use the name change to clarify their
  17. independence from LANtastic software.
